How do we bridge the gaps between:
student - teacher - administration - superintendent - school board - community
Last year was a TOUGH year for me at school. We had a brand new principal and brand new vice principal. The staff felt like guinea pigs all year as administration tested out their ideas on us for how a school should be run.
And in the process alienated much of the staff because there was a sudden lack of support from admin as they took on the "The Customer Is Always Right" attitude.... Which basically meant that the students and parents were always right. No backing up the teachers when disciplinary issues arose.
I don't know what the answers are.
Do you have any suggestions?
Have you been in a similar situation?
How did you handle it?
The more we can discuss this the better! It helps so much to hear how other people cope in these circumstances.
